I have done historic textile demonstrations since 2001. These range from pre-history through industrialization. I have worked in living history since 2015 doing a variety of historic skills including textiles, draft power, farming, and other historic handcrafts.
I have studied Archaeology (MA) of North-Western Europe and Heritage Management and (Medieval) History (BA) at Leiden University. From a young age I have been involved with re-enactment of the Napoleonic Wars and Dutch Revolt/Eighty Years War.
I have always had a passion for history and art, so I decided to bring my two passions together to create 'Arteology'.
I am an archaeologist interested in the study of complex societies of the Western Mediterranean Iron Age. I deal with more specific topics such as urban planning, architecture, household organisation and domestic activities.

The Kamianets-Podilskyi Museum under the auspices of the EXARC association with the cooperation of the NGO "Chorna Halych" is holding the first international scientific and practical conference "Living history and experimental archaeology".
At the annual conference of the EAA there will be several sessions related to experimental archaeology which EXARC happily supports. They fall in theme 4, "People of the Present - Peopling the Past".
Please note: the conference is hybrid, but only EAA members will be able to see presentations or participate.
