The Archäotechnica Festival (Historic Art and Craft Techniques) promotes a deeper understanding of the evolution from the first stone tool to today's highly technological society. It presents individual facets of technical and technical methods as well as complex development processes. It takes places annually in Brandenburg an der Havel, near Berlin (DE).

For Archäotechnica 2019, we explore the question of what life was like behind the protective walls of a medieval city. Who could we have met while walking through the market, the center of a medieval city? Which different ways of life, activities and moods belonged to the urban life between 1250 and 1500?

On this Archäotechnica we trace the life between the city wall, the market square and the church roof and embark on a journey into the medieval city, a colorful melting pot and delimited space at the same time.

Entrance fee 5 € / reduced 3,50 € / families 10 € / Children under 10 free.
